My name is Willem Schreurs and I work as a Product Manager in the Products & Technology department. My daily activities consist mainly of developing new products. I do this in consultation with colleagues in the department and in close cooperation with the sales departments. This way we try to develop the right products for our customers and put them on the market! 

What can you tell about the department you work in?
The "Products & Technology" unit I work in, consists of several departments; Product Management & Development, Applications & Processes and Design Principles. In general, I work most of the time with the colleagues in the Product Management & Development group. Within this group, we take care of the product management and new developments. But once a product is ready and has to be applied as a standard, it also has to be available in all applications and for that it is nice that the team working on it is close by.

What is the best product that NEDCON has developed?
We are constantly working on product development and it is difficult to point out one product that is the best. Sometimes we come up with something clever, and other times we manage to achieve great cost savings with a new design. If I had to choose one development, it would be the new shelf for the shelving unit. This development included all aspects of product management & development: from market research to product development followed by the entire production technique on a newly developed production line.

What I really appreciate about NEDCON is the freedom and responsibility to perform your work in your own way. This allows you to go for the best results together with your colleagues.

What is your best memory of working at NEDCON so far?
Informally, the 50th anniversary of NEDCON with a smashing party was an absolute highlight! But if I look at the content of my work, the moment that after a long development period the first product batches roll off the fully automated production line and you subsequently receive a photo of a satisfied customer, is the icing on the cake!

Why would you advise someone else to become part of our team?
The combination of the technical depth and the good team atmosphere makes it challenging and at the same time fun to work for!
