NEDCON is a global player in the field of storage systems. From manual warehouse racking and semi-automatic systems to an integrated approach for complex and automated warehouse equipment. We design, manufacture, supervise, assemble and install these systems all over the world. And we have been doing so since 1969.
With a team of more than 500 colleagues, spread over three locations in the Netherlands, the United States and the Czech Republic, we install impressive projects around the world that are getting bigger and therefore more complex. We are committed to delivering the (mostly) fully automated systems to our international customers on schedule, on budget and to the highest quality.

As a Structural Engineer, you design steel structures for storage systems according to various European and North American standards. You will design complex and big structures, analyze various types of systems and work with different materials and stabilization methods.
You work on several projects simultaneously and stay involved throughout the duration. So your work is very varied. You are not only busy making calculations, but also coordinate your work with the draftsmen, interact with colleagues and external parties and maintain contact with clients.
Your department
You will work in the System Integrators department, which is responsible for the realization of automated storage systems. We develop these systems together with a logistics partner. They focus on robotization and automation, while we take care of the steel construction part.
You work in a team of 6 colleagues, in which everyone works on his or her own projects. So you work independently, but of course there is always room to brainstorm with each other.

As our new Structural Engineer, you have college working and thinking level, with a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. In addition, you have knowledge of methods for standardization. In connection with our international customers you have a good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing, German is an advantage.

Interview by phone
We have arranged a suitable time by mail. During this telephone conversation we can already get acquainted and you can ask us questions. We would like to get to know you better and that is why we also have a number of questions for you such as your expectations of NEDCON, the reason you applied at NEDCON and your salary indication. We ask these questions to clarify the expectations from both sides.
First job interview
During the first meeting, we can show you NEDCON and we can get to know each other. We will discuss the competences you need for the job. For us, it is important that you fit with NEDCON and that we are the desired employer for you.
Second job interview
Are we and you enthusiastic? Then we would like to invite you for a second interview. In this conversation we discuss in detail the content of the position, the team and the department. Depending on your position, we ask you to give a presentation or we use an assessment.
Contract proposal
We know enough after two job interviews. We have a good picture of you and hopefully you are excited to work at NEDCON. We offer you a one-year contract with the intention to convert this into permanent employment.
