Offices
As Structural Engineer, you design steel constructions for storage systems according to various European and North-American standards. In addition to the static design, you will also be evaluating the dynamic effects of robotization at these constructions. You will be involved in the project during the proposal process, as well as during the realization phase.
You will design complex and tall constructions, analyze various types of systems and work with diverse materials and stabilization methods. You are able to substantiate the choices you make during the design phase to both clients and inspection authorities.
You will be working on various projects at the same time and will remain involved for the duration of the project. The proposal phase is less detailed and requires quick analyses; during the project phase you will be looking at constructions in more detail.
In this position, you work in the System Integrators department, which is responsible for the realization of automated storage systems. We develop these systems in collaboration with a logistics partner. They focus on the robotization and automation, while we take care of the steel structuring engineering component.

As a suitable candidate, you have a tertiary education with the appropriate professional and intellectual ability and a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. With respect to our international clients, you have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. German is an asset.

Interview by phone
We have arranged a suitable time by mail. During this telephone conversation we can already get acquainted and you can ask us questions. We ask these questions to clarify the expectations from both sides.
First job interview
During the first meeting, we can show you NEDCON and we can get to know each other. We will discuss the competences you need for the job. For us, it is important that you fit with NEDCON and that we are the desired employer for you.
Second job interview
Are we and you enthusiastic? Then we would like to invite you for a second interview. In this conversation we discuss in detail the content of the position, the team and the department. Depending on your position, we ask you to give a presentation or we use an assessment.
Contract proposal
We know enough after two job interviews. We have a good picture of you and hopefully you are excited to work at NEDCON. We offer you a one-year contract with the intention to convert this into permanent employment.
