This is what you will do

As a Structural Engineer, you are responsible for developing, reviewing and optimizing structural solutions for automated storage systems. You ensure that designs comply with applicable standards and customer specifications and provide technical support throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will work closely with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and review structural designs for international projects.
  • Perform calculations and modelling based on standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers, external partners, and certification bodies, representing NEDCON professionally.
  • Support projects during the engineering, installation, and commissioning phases with technical expertise.
  • Serve as a technical sparring partner for colleagues and share your knowledge within the team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, tools, and working methods.

Who you are

You are an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Structural Engineer who enjoys tackling technical challenges. You can distinguish priorities from details, work in a structured manner, and always keep quality in mind. You enjoy collaborating with others, are eager to learn, and continuously look for ways to develop yourself and your field of expertise.

You also bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. German is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with CAD-software such as 2D AutoCAD and 3D CREO.
  • Experience with FEM-software, such as RFEM.
  • Experience with structural calculations and the design of steel structures.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and technical guidelines.
  • Experience as a Structural Engineer within the steel construction, logistics, or a related industry is a plus.
