As Mechanical Engineering trainee, you will work in our Products & Technology department where strength and stiffness properties of steel constructions components and connections are derived from tests. Our in-house designed test setups aim to recreate reality as close as possible.

The main objective of the internship will be to aid in the design or redesign of test-setups. During the design process, the main functions that the test setup must fulfill are analyzed, specifications are determined and several concepts are defined accordingly. In addition to functionality, strength and stiffness design needs to be performed. The final design must be done using SolidWorks. When time allows, you will also play a role in ordering components, ensuring smooth assembly and commissioning of the test setup. You will work in a team that pragmatically solves problems.

Interview by phone

First job interview
During the first meeting, we can show you NEDCON and we can get to know each other. We will discuss the competences you need for the job. For us, it is important that you fit with NEDCON and that we are the desired employer for you.
Second job interview
Are we and you enthusiastic? Then we would like to invite you for a second interview. In this conversation we discuss in detail the content of the position, the team and the department. Depending on your position, we ask you to give a presentation or we use an assessment.
Contract proposal
We know enough after two job interviews. We have a good picture of you and hopefully you are excited to work at NEDCON. We offer you a one-year contract with the intention to convert this into permanent employment.
