Your job

As an Application Engineer Digitalization, you will focus on developing, implementing, and optimizing our Business Intelligence (BI) strategies, with a specific focus on our future BI platform. BI strategies are approaches we use to collect and analyze data to make better-informed decisions.

You will collaborate extensively with the IT department, the P&T department, and your end customer, the business. In this role, you will support all NEDCON locations. You will assist in designing and shaping the future IT landscape to optimize the integration of BI solutions.

Additionally, you will explore the possibilities of AI and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and develop strategies to integrate these technologies. In short, your starting point is the data, from which you will work on Analytics/BI, Automation, and AI.

Your duties in a nutshell:

• Develop and implement BI solutions
• Data analysis and visualization
• Application optimization and maintenance
• Research and evaluate new techniques
• Collaborate and share knowledge with cross-functional teams, including IT, data analysts, and business units within NEDCON

Your team

You will be part of the Products & Applications department within the Unit Products & Technology. This department consists of 15 colleagues responsible for the central management and maintenance of data and the functional management of software applications. We have a diverse and dynamic team, with a mix of young talent and experienced professionals, working in an international environment. With our hands-on mentality, we are eager to roll up our sleeves and tackle any challenge.

This is you 

As our new Application Engineer Digitalization, you possess analytical and problem-solving skills. You ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data in BI solutions. You also have a proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you can clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Moreover, you have:

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
• Experience with Power BI, including developing advanced dashboards and reports
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
