The Product Data & Application Management (PDAM) department consists of a versatile team of 7 employees who are engaged daily in centrally managing and maintaining product data and software applications. The team is looking for an Application Engineer 3D CAD Tooling. A completely new function that fits with the developments in the field of digitalization within NEDCON. Kasper, you have been employed by NEDCON for more than 20 years. What makes your work so exciting?
''The department and work are subject to innovations; I am still gaining a lot of new knowledge and that certainly makes the work attractive. I also have a lot of contact with other colleagues within the company. In this department you work on developments that really help others in the organization. That gives me satisfaction!''
The position is completely new within NEDCON. Can you tell us more about it Bram?
"In the past year, a project was started within the company to set up an entirely new 3D CAD environment. This is very important in order to maintain the good position of NEDCON in the future. A new colleague is more than welcome to ensure that this project runs smoothly and to make the right tools available. It is a job full of challenges and with a lot of room to develop yourself.''
Which competences do you need to have as a suitable candidate, Bram?
''First of all, it is important to have affinity with the business. We design a fantastic product, with that enthusiasm you should certainly look at it in this position. Decisiveness, analytical skills and to be result-oriented are, in my opinion, the keywords for the new colleague that we are looking for. Together with the 3D team you are responsible for the implementation of applications that many colleagues within NEDCON will work with, and from which our projects come about. You just want to deliver quality!''
What kind of team will you work in, Kasper?
"A very experienced team with an enormous amount of knowledge and expertise. I also think that everyone is very open to changes and innovation. The PDAM department has grown a lot in recent years, we are involved in many change processes. This has resulted in a different position in the company and a greater importance of the department within NEDCON. And as our new colleague, you are too!
As a suitable candidate, why should you not look beyond NEDCON, Bram?
"In the 3.5 years that I have been working at NEDCON now, my experience has been that the colleagues here are there for each other. You can rely on your colleagues and learn a lot from them. You get a lot of freedom to also take on things in which you see opportunities so that we can do even better as a company. In addition, with all the developments that are occurring in the field of the new 3D environment, many challenges will come our way. How cool is it that you can be a part of that?''
